Based on the horror comic book mini-series of the same name, the 30 Days of Night movie was directed by David Slade and stars Josh Hartnett & Melissa George. The story centres on an Alaskan town beset by vampires as it enters into a thirty-day long period without sunshine.
The mix media marketing campaign for its UK release involved theatrical poster design and outdoor activity including billboard, underground and character Adshel poster creative. Theatrical Standees were also designed and produced to increase pre-release anticipation.
A special edition graphic novel was bundled with the DVD for the home entertainment release which was supported by point of sale units, press give-aways and a series of tv spots.
