Jermain Defoe, Spurs striker and England stalwart recently surpassed a club milestone. On the 23rd April 2011, Defoe scored his 100th goal for the Lillywhites, a left footed, long range shot against West Brom.

The century makes him the newest addition to a list of 16 greats who have scored 100 goals for the club, players such as Jimmy Greaves, Glenn Hoddle, Cliff Jones, Teddy Sheringham and Robbie Keane.

His response to scoring a ton, “To score 100 goals for Tottenham, to look at the players who’ve scored 100 or more and my name’s there, I’m proud about that.”

What makes this feat even more impressive, is that it was achieved in only 255 appearances, 80 of which where from the bench!!!

To mark the goal machine’s accomplishment, ILC Media, in partnership with Tottenham Hotspur requested that every1 design a special amaray sleeve and on-body for the release of the “Jermain Defoe’s – 100 Spurs Goals” DVD on June 13th.
